For those of you who will be flying to Indiana for our wedding, thank you so much for making the trip! It means so much to us. There are a number of airport possibilities.
To minimize your driving time on the ground (but at a higher ticket price and a possibly longer flight time/itinerary), fly into South Bend Regional Airport. It is by far the easiest to manage once you land. Several major airlines fly into South Bend and it is a very easy 50 minute drive to Chesterton. This is also a good option if you have frequent flyer miles to use up.
If you want to minimize flying time and ticket cost, or if you are coming from farther away, fly into Midway or O'Hare Airport in Chicago. The drive from Chicago is more complicated, but entirely manageable. It is approximately an hour from Midway and approximately 1 ½ hours from O’Hare and can vary widely based on traffic conditions.
There are rooms reserved for the Pluta/Gibson wedding at the following hotels in Valparaiso, Indiana. These hotels are approximately 2 miles from the reception and 20 miles from the church. They are also across the street from a number of restaurants and a Wal Mart. Hotel rooms must be reserved at least 30 days in advance.
